Carmel Point: Where the Land Meets the Sea
There are few places on the Monterey Peninsula as magical as Carmel Point. Tucked away at the southern edge of Carmel-by-the-Sea, this extraordinary neighborhood is where the white sands of Carmel Beach meet the rugged Pacific coastline, creating one of California’s most breathtaking settings.
As I walked along Scenic admiring all the beautiful homes on Carmel Point, I eagerly looked forward to hosting an Open House  at one of our Carmel Realty Company listings on Sunday and hoped the weather would be as perfect as it is today – full of  sunshine and warm temperatures. I passed by homes I’ve sold in the past and remembered the wonderful clients I’ve met in this very special neighborhood. The architecture is mixed, from historic homes built in the early 1900’s to contemporary homes like the one I’ll be showing this weekend – a new construction in a modern organic style.
A walk along Scenic Road is an experience in itself. Waves crash against the rocky shoreline, sea otters float in the kelp forests offshore, and migrating whales can often be spotted on the horizon. To the south, Point Lobos provides a stunning backdrop, while the historic Tor House reminds visitors of Carmel’s rich artistic heritage.
Despite being just minutes from the charming shops, galleries, and restaurants of downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea, Carmel Point feels wonderfully peaceful and private. It’s a place where residents wake to the sound of the surf, enjoy evening sunsets from their front porch, and embrace a lifestyle that celebrates nature every single day.
For me, Carmel Point embodies everything that makes the Monterey Peninsula so special—timeless beauty, coastal elegance, and an unparalleled connection to the sea. It’s more than a neighborhood; it’s a way of life.
