CAR WEEK IS COMING TO THE MONTEREY PENINSULA!!!
Monterey Car Week is almost here.
Carmel ~ Pebble Beach ~ Pacific Grove ~ Monterey
August 7th-16th 2026
California is in the “heat of the summer”, but here on the Monterey Peninsula we’re not melting or sweltering like some people are not too far from here. So if you need to get cool, c’mon down to Carmel or Pacific Grove and feel the cool ocean breezes and comfortable temperatures. AND see lots of amazing cars! Evert year “Car Week” has grown with more car events, auctions, and parties – as thousands of car enthusiasts descend onto the Monterey Peninsula. It’s fun, and delightful to view all these amazing cars, but it does come with some trade offs. Gridlocked streets, no parking spots available without walking a mile, crowded restaurants, and frustrated motorists. All the residents have a different opinion – myself – I love to see all of these amazing cars. If you’re stuck in traffic, there is usually plenty of “eye candy” to watch go by.
We still have a week before things get really crazy so let’s go down memory lane to two years ago as we prepared for Car Week in 2024. I had just recently started being a host of AMERICAN DREAM TV and I thought it would be cool to interview some of the vendors who were preparing for Car Week in their own special way. I visited WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and spoke to Gary Topeka about how the race track was getting ready and then I stopped by Monterey Touring Vehicles and interviewed the owner, Heather Gardner, who is always heavily involved with “Car Week”. MTV rents out classic cars for those who like the treat of driving one of their favorites from the past and I was thrilled that my husband and I were able to tour around in a 1956 Bel Air Chevy convertible during the shoot. This was the highlight of my year!
I thought a nice additional touch would be to interview a clothing boutique to chat about what to wear during “Car Week” so you’ll get some tips from Victoria Carr in her Victorius clothing boutique.
