“Monterey Car Week” is now over and our seaside towns of Carmel, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, and Monterey have returned to our summer norm. Still lots of visitors who we embrace, however, no more Ferraris, Corvettes, and Porches burning up the roadways driving too fast . . . and in some cases causing massive traffic gridlocks which made it almost impossible to get around. So bitter sweet. It’s a treat to see these amazing cars – whether it’s a Lamborghini, a classic Model T Ford or a stately Bentley just driving by, but with “Car Week” comes a take-over of our whole community as we know it – and this year it seemed twice as crowded and went on for 10 days with more and more events added to the schedule. Car shows, Car Auctions, and Parties – lots of Parties. But now, our beautiful area has returned to how we love it and we get to enjoy the rest of the summer and look forward to our “Indian Summer” of warm temperatures and sunny days on the Peninsula.
