Even though Mother is no longer with me on this earth, I still feel her presence and her love.  That is the magic of motherhood.  I think Leo Buscaglia had it right.

“I know for certain
that we never lose the people we love,
even to death.
They continue to participate in every act,
thought and decision we make.
Their love leaves an indelible imprint
in our memories.
We find comfort in knowing
that our lives have been enriched
by having shared their love.”

Yes, that is so right.  The memories, the teachings, and the love will live on forever.

Mother’s favorite flower was the rose.  On her last Mother’s Day I filled her home with roses and flowers and planted blooming roses outside of the windows.

Now this rose garden is a living memorial to her and the wonderful gift of love she gave me all my life.
